A new electronic, route-related motorway toll system has been introduced in France for heavy goods vehicle traffic of over 3.5 tons. The toll system “Télépéage Inter Sociétés Poids Lourds (TIS PL)“ works similar to the Telepass system in Italy. By means of a small electronic device (UTA Box), which may easily be installed on the windscreen, toll data will be captured automatically. Thus, in France you may travel on specific lanes, without having to stop. Possible Rebates
The rebates possible for TIS PL vary from motorway company to motorway company. They depend on the monthly toll volume and, partly, on the EURO emission class, and will be calculated per company and per vehicle or vehicle fleet. More information about rebates on TIS PL are available here:
