Better discounts on motorway tolls in Italy with UTA


Since 1 January 2002 there is a new service available to UTA customers, offering considerably higher discounts on Italian motorway tolls.

All members meeting the conditions below can join the UTA Consorzio 2000  founded by UTA and apply for a group discount. In this process,  all revenues made for the group as a whole in Italy are consolidated for the purpose of motorway charges and this ensures a higher level of discount.

There is no minimum requirement for this UTA service. In the year 2002, for example, under the application procedure to date, discount on Italian motorway tolls was only granted from a minimum of 51,646 Euro in revenues.

The following basic conditions must be met in order to avail of this customer bonus:

  • Companies must be road haulage companies located in the EU (not buses).
  • The motorway tolls must be charged to the Viacard or Telepass.
  • Viacard/Telepass has been purchased via UTA

At present, members of the consortium founded by UTA receive attractive discounts on their motorway toll turnover in Italy during calendar year 2005.

Without minimum volume and as of the first EURO! (The discounts granted always depend on the distribution quota of the Italian motorway company.)

Additionally, customers are granted a 10% discount on night transport.

The UTA Consorzio 2000 charges a membership/management  fee of  25,-- EUR, which will be prepaid by the Consorzio and which will subsequently be charged to the relevant customer.

  • Certified copy of the EU-licence (transport register). For vehicles less than 3,5 t a certified copy of the commercial register and
  • a well legible copy of your identity card or your passport
