New minimum wage law in Austria

On 1 January 2017 new regulations have come into force in Austria to combat wage and social dumping. These affect goods as well as passenger transport – and specifically cabotage and bilateral traffic. Transit traffic is excluded.

Please note that any deployment of an employee in Austria must be electronically reported in advance using form ZKO3:

https://www4.formularservice.gv.at/formularserver/user/formular.aspx?id=fe66cedb506e495c94b3e826701443e5&pn=B461f73088ab946fe9bd1d1cce573d81a

Furthermore, the following documents have to be ready to hand throughout the deployment period:

  • Copy of the deployment notification (in exceptional cases, transaction number/reference number is sufficient)
  • Social security document A1
  • Wage documents
  • If the employee is a national of a third country: Work permit

Intense talks and deliberations are currently underway to simplify the reporting regulations. We will of course notify you as soon as there are any news.
