- UTA FuelGuide guides drivers to the cheapest fuel stop en route
- Mittelständische Unternehmen sollen verstärkt angesprochen werden
Kleinostheim – 21 September 2016. UNION TANK Eckstein GmbH & Co. KG (UTA) has developed a fuel app for the new FleetBoard store for apps; the store will have its world premiere at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2016 fair in Hanover and will be available as of 2017. The UTA FuelGuide guides drivers to the currently cheapest fuelling stop en route, taking the respective distance and current fuel level into consideration. This enables optimal refuelling in terms of time and cost. Through connection with real-time data concerning the vehicle and the fuelling station, hauliers are able to improve transport management and additionally raise efficiency potential.
In order to quickly and easily find the closest and cheapest refuelling station, the UTA FuelGuide not only sources current diesel prices but also automatically factors in the current location. Using the detachable driver tablet, the FleetBoard DispoPilot.guide, the driver is able to also read the current consumption, remaining journey, remaining in-tank fuel and the average speed at a single glance. “The app takes over route planning and the driver doesn’t have to worry about fuel prices or the appropriate refuelling point. This intelligent network system supports the driver, lowers costs and raises the efficiency of transport”, says Stefan Horst, head of marketing at UTA. UTA FuelGuide can be tested in both German and English at the IAA Commercial Vehicles fair from 22 to 29 September at the Daimler FleetBoard stand and at the MercedesService Card stand in Hall 14/15.
