UTA contributes in slowing down the climate change.
Being amongst the leading companies in our line of business, we are aware of the importance and particularity of the climate change issue. Our contribution to the GOGREEN and PRINT GREEN initiatives is in favour of reducing CO2 emissions.
UTA copies and prints environmentally conscious with PRINT GREEN.
PRINT GREEN is an environmental initiative of the company Kyocera - a manufacturer of printers and copying machines - as the daily use of a printer system causes CO2 emissions. To compensate these, Kyocera cooperates with the climate protection organisation myclimate, an organisation which supports climate protection issues all over the world. Based on these climate protection projects, the emissions produced will be compensated elsewhere. Thus, PRINT GREEN was launched, to counteract the climate change.
UTA has joined this initiative and has changed over to environment-friendly printers and copying machines – even Europe-wide. UTA has received the certification PRINT GREEN which stands for climate neutral printing and copying solutions. Even toner cartridges are now used in a climate-neutral manner.
This initiative supports the construction of „efficient cookers“ in Kenia. Thus, on the one hand, the local deforestation of the woods will be reduced considerably and, on the other hand, the health of the human population there will be protected.
The projects supported by myclimate are certified and meet the world-wide valid strict standards for CO2 compensation.
Our contribution will reach an annual balance of several tons of CO2.
UTA dispatches postal items in a climate-neutral way with GOGREEN.
GOGREEN stands for environmental-friendly dispatch of postal items by Deutsche Post DHL.
The daily dispatch of any type of letters or parcels causes CO2 emissions, which will be registered by Deutsche Post DHL, according to a strict and licensed procedure, and we will be informed thereof. By supporting the GOGREEN project and the associated climate protection projects world-wide, we can – by means of determined procedures – achieve a local balance of CO2 emissions.
Due to these facts we are allowed to describe our postal deliveries as being „climate-neutral“ and, at the same time, we are protecting our natural resources. Every year, the Deutsche Post DHL provides us with a certificate for supporting this initiative.
